    About Us

The Monrovia Historic Preservation Group is one of the largest non-profit Organizations in Monrovia with an active membership of nearly 200 households. Founded in 1980, MOHPG acts as a source of information and a support group for those restoring their homes, raises public awareness on the importance of preserving Monrovia's architectural heritage, sponsors a home tour every Mother's Day, opening several of the city's outstanding homes to the public, is the guardian of the Boxx Jeweler's clock in Old Town Monrovia, and in April 2009 completed the restoration of the USPS mural which now proudly hangs in the new library.
