"After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the San Gabriel Valley Women’s Summit will return on March 7, 2023. This year’s keynote speaker will be Rachel McClements, Chief Operating Officer of Five Acres, a non-profit focused on the well-being and mental health of children and families, and striving for a permanent, loving home for all children.

Formerly named the Duarte Women’s Business Expo, the event was the creation of the late city of Duarte Mayor and Councilmember Tzeitel Paras-Caracci with the intent of hosting a day for current and aspiring women business owners to learn and grow. Recognizing that the COVID-19 pandemic changed the work and family dynamics for many women, this year’s organizers renamed the event to the San Gabriel Valley Women’s Summit to expand the audience to women throughout the San Gabriel Valley coming from all walks of life, career paths, and different times within their workforce journey. Whether pivoting careers, returning from caregiving, or just getting started, this year’s theme, “Hello, Women of 2023!” welcomes all women to learn, grow, and support each other together.

The Summit will take place on Tuesday, March 7 from 12 – 6 PM at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Monrovia-Pasadena (924 W Huntington Drive, Monrovia, CA). The event will include a lunch and a networking happy hour."
